Sing
O Sing unto the LORD a new song: Sing unto the LORD, all the earth. Psalm 96:1
You serve a creative God who takes pleasure in new things. Things like new blessings, new beginnings, new miracles, and new chapters. What new thing in your life, big or small, are you most thankful for today?
God showers His people with blessings because He loves them. Sometimes we just need God to open our eyes. Long ago the psalmist was contemplating his blessings when he became overjoyed in praise and thanksgiving. This is what he wrote in Psalm 96:1-3: Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, praise His name; proclaim His salvation day after day. His marvelous deeds among all peoples.
Take a deep relaxing breath and focus only on God. The one who created you and loves you. God delights in blessing his people. He also takes pleasure in his people singing and praising His name. He’s blessed us beyond measure. He’s worthy of our adoration. He’s the God of the Universe and He wants to know you more and more each day.
Dear Father, thank you for the gift of song, and thank you for giving me something to sing about. I want to live a life of praise and worship. I want to sing of your blessings and salvation when I’m alone and with others. Transform me, mold me into your image, help me to be more like you each day. Give me a new song. It’s in Jesus' name that I pray, Amen.
Let your gratitude pour out to Him in a new song. He’s worthy of your praise. Christy Diver #sing #adventword
